No it's not the same thing.
In one case LSU is working with the NCAA after being made aware.
In the other LSU is trying to gather information. There has been no "condemnation" of Wade. Wade is not cooperating. LSU is withholding him until he can cooperation.

The difference is the did make a statement about. Just didn’t go overboard on details. Wade has made no comment on it. Sorry not the same thing. Good try though.
