I don’t think this is true for Kenrich honestly. If you’re saying he’s your starting 3, maybe. If you’re saying you can find a similar player easily, I’d call BS. Just look at the dumpster fire that’s been our 3 spot for years with the exception of half a season of QPon.

Cunningham
Miller
Lance Stephenson
Anthony Brown
Tony Allen
Babbitt
Alonzo Gee
Thats a Demps indictment, and the reason he's watching from home.

I excluded Kenrich from most of my discussion. I think he should stick around.

I just don't think we should go overboard with what he's actually done though.

He's putting up 6/4/1 on 39/33/64 splits

i don’t think people are going crazy over his stats. They love the energy and hustle he brings every night. Kenrich has a place in this league.

This whole board was scouring for possible SF names. You don’t easily find team first guys who just play and understand the game of basketball without requiring or even wanting the spotlight.

I’ve seen a lot of players come and go over the years, and the one thing I’ll say about Kenrich Williams is he’s truly selfless. He doesn’t shy away from the big or open shots, but he’s never looking for his shot first. Dude’s just a winning basketball player who will do whatever it takes to win basketball games. Kenny Hustle is a very apt nickname. I hope he’s a Pel for a long time if he can keep the mental and emotional attitude he’s carried around with him this season.

I honestly believe in Kenrich’s ability to stay humble and selfless. If there was ever a time for him to try to “get his”, as an UDFA, it would sure as hell be right now...and it doesn’t look like “getting his” had ever crossed his mind. I don’t think that quality is easy to replace or find, so that’s where we disagree on his replacability I think.

ETA: guys like Kenrich are just very easy to plug into lineups with other players...he’s not going to be so deficient at any one area that you have to cover him up with someone else like say Randle on defense...but he’s not going to make you excel at any one area either. You can’t have multiples of him on the floor, but you’re happy as hell if you can find a player like that, at least I am.
