The 3 RS cars have some advantages, though they are fewer than in the past, and while for many they are still a more pure drivers car (NA and can be had with 3 pedals) the GT2 RS is just a different animal on the track. That said they are both difficult to purchase new and the 2RS is pretty much unobtanium not only price wise but allocation wise.
One can drive a 911 GT car as a daily but honestly, there are few people that will especially if you live anywhere without perfect roads, which rules out most of the nation.

Yes, the GT2 is a behemoth, but the GT3 is normally aspirated. Absolutely amazing.
