John Candy was definitely one of the best. I can’t believe it’s been twenty-five freakin’ years.

John Candy's great gift was his phrasing. He could make normal lines seem hysterically funny just by his cadence. On the page, this is a fairly normal exchange. In the movie, it's one of the funniest things I've ever heard.
