Not saying we would’ve won either game since the bats haven’t done much, but the free passes have made the 2 losses look a lot worse than they really were. 21 free passes in 2 games on the road against a decent team is a recipe for disaster. Cut down on the walks and we will be right where we need to be. This is why I like the tough OOC games early in the season. Win or lose, it’ll help this team later on. The ‘09 team lost 2/3 to Illinois at home that season. Worked out in the end.
