Oh I know but that’s where overall luck comes into play in the tournament

Maybe I’m just being too worried over nothing, but just feels like after all these years finally having a good team and we’ll get matched up with one of these mid majors in the first round that has a bunch of sharp shooters and plays a disciplined zone

No, it's a legit concern. However, the major difference between us and those teams will be athleticism. Those type of teams will not be able to match us in that area. You won't find a solid 3 point shooting team, who plays a legit zone, with size and athleticism. If you run into a team with all that they aren't going to be 12-15 seeds.

Of course you could always run into a perfect storm. We can't shoot one night and the other team is lights out. It happens every single year in the tournament. Let's just hope it doesn't happen to us.
