This is a woman thing, not a societal thing.
Everyone's wife has started some stupid arse meaningless argument that her husband has no idea what's going on with, but she starts it and tries to light a fire under it simply b/c they want some drama.
It's like they get jealous of the other women in the office bitching about their husbands, so they have to invent reasons to get mad at their own husband so they can bitch about him.
