The PG 2.5 is designed for the game's most versatile players. It's light yet strong, with a supportive strap and comfortable cushioning that responds to every fast, focused step.
For real, Pistons trainer Arnie Kander was complaining like ten years ago about how a lot of superlight technology was taking needed support out of the shoe and leading to injuries. I'm guessing the materials have gotten a lot better since then, so maybe this was just a bad glue job. A 280 lb dude is going to put a lot of force down.

ESPN probably started filming their next episode of “Sports Science” before the sun came up this morning.

Stupid move for a 280 pounder to be playing in PGs. There are plenty of Nike basketball shoes with ample support.
