It’s been the best since coach K went to Dook. And mostly for college B-ball. Dook was a dumpster fire UNC never thought twice about. It used to be all about NCSU and UNC. UNC even had more of a rivalry with Wake way back in the day than Dook.

If the best rivalry is defined by the best talent, overall championships, the importance of the game regarding conference titles and national seeding, UNC vs. Duke isn't close.
If a rivalry is judged by fan hatred, it isn't even the best in the Carolina's. Put a Duke grad and a UNC grad in a room to talk about their rivalry and they'll argue. Put a South Carolina fan and a Clemson fan in a room to talk about their rivalry and it will likely get violent.
