Shhhh, you're gonna trigger the liberal haters.

I actually might move there this year

Austin is a great city despite the Liberals. It's got something that can't be replicated. It's geography. West of Mopac is phenomenally beautiful. Reminds me of Wine Country California but greener.

My wife didn't want to leave but she doesn't have much family here and she had a good group of friends there. We would never be able to afford in Austin what we have here. At least not anywhere near city limits and the traffic there is fricking terrible.

Although the traffic in New Orleans isn't great, there is always a way to get around it. Always. Many cities in Texas force you onto the main arteries that are clogged up because all the neighborhoods are private or were planned neighborhoods with limited access and no cut through streets. They also don't make good use of boulevards in Austin. It's basically just interstates and some State highways.

Although Dallas has a lot of traffic it's streets were planned better like New Orleans. They understood the value of boulevards. Houston and Austin's traffic can suck a dick.

Yeah that's gonna be the death of me. I've got so many north south streets I can use to avoid 75 or DNT if traffic is awful.
