Does not exist in the state of Louisiana.

I can get there nearly is fast as you can. Takes me about an hour and a half.

Sure, but not living in Louisiana.

Dallas is a top 10 sized metro in the country, if you say there's nothing to do you are just being hard headed because you are a NOLA is the only place with culture blowhard.

In spots, its shite. Just like it's shite in spots in every State. On the whole, Louisiana infrastructure is worse than most States. Maybe all of them. But that's not to say that there's not spots where the infrastructure is great.

Live in those spots.

It's that simple.

People that live in Jamaica on the beach live an ideal lifestyle. They don't live in the back with the poors.

Know which state has the highest rate of poverty/homelessness(at least the last time I checked)?

Hawaii.

A plane ticket is $250 per person. So it cost a family of four $1,000 to take a weekend trip to New Orleans from Dallas. I can get there for $8 in gas, round trip.

You can't replicate the culture and vibe. You can't fake it. You can build all the Top Golfs, Buc-ee's, Dave & Buster's, Olive Gardens and hold all the SXSWs that you want. They will never be Mardi Gras, Jazz Fest, the FQ or the fried chicken the old black mama makes at the corner store down the street. For fricksake, they can't even get Popeye's right in other States and it's a fricking franchise.
