8-10 movies over the course of 20 years. Kingsman basically gave you the blueprint for the first movie. Atomic Blonde gave you the blueprint for the final movie. Figure it out.

They wouldn’t do a 60s plot along those lines because it would be unrelatable to their modern demographic. Which is why I mentioned China or Russia.

However, China has so much control over Hollywood production and distribution these days that it’s doubtful they will ever again be portrayed in a truthful light as to their intentions on the world stage. Thus it would probably have to be Russian or perhaps even middle eastern or Israeli .... I’m referring to the bad guys of course.

The Bond franchise is in trouble for that reason. It was a franchise built around having bad guys who were relatively clear cut even if they were, at times, muddled somewhat amongst the whole Cold War espionage game. Basically communism and socialism verses Capitalism.

Too many gray areas exist these days. Too many in the world find the James Bonds and Felix Leiters to be the bad guys. Too many these days are rooting for the anarchists to distrupt everything.

A new Bond will be a hard sell.
