Superbowl XLII was on that night, and Eli beat the Pats
I was in high school and remember running from spot to spot trying to find a tv. Bacchus was running. Finally got a TV and saw "the catch" with Tyree. What a night.

Across the street from Touro Synagogue, a house had a huge sheet draped across the front and a projector on a ladder on the sidewalk. The crowd was huge and no one watched the parade.
