Ok Explain the metric the 3 hitter hits with 2 outs and 0 runners on base more than anyone? Why would you also want maybe your best hitter hitting in this situation more than anyone?

You realize how easily this number gets skewed, right? The 3 hole is the only spot in the lineup that’s guaranteed to come up 3rd in an inning at least once per game.
This is an example of why saber metrics isn’t perfect. It’s based purely on a bunch of algorithms with no real common sense applied.
