Nationally probably no chance...

Eh, if Wade gets LSU to a 2 seed (obviously a tall order) in his second year on the job taking over a complete disaster, I wouldn't be so certain he has "no chance." Although what Eric Musselman (Nevada) and Kelvin Sampson (Houston) are doing is very impressive. The rest of the teams having good seasons are schools are almost always good except for Tennessee. If LSU finishes 16-2 in the SEC and beats UT, then one would have to think Wade jumps Barnes.

Yea I think SEC COTY will definitely belong to the winner of LSU vs Tenn. what I’m more wondering is if LSU wins out what will Wade’s odds be like on a national scale?

I’m with you there. I have had my fair share of crap this season. Great to see us winning!

How much more do you think he needs to do to be in contention?

Win about five more SEC games with Tennessee being one.

I think he will accomplish this. I hate to give Alleva credit, but Wade is looking like a homerun hire.

Kelvin Sampson

This is my vote right now (not that I have an actual vote)... What he's done at UH has been really something.

I'd argue nationally it's:

1. Sampson
2. Mussleman
3. Barnes
4. Wade

Right now, obviously if LSU wins out or something then yeah Wade has to be in contention for COTY both in the league and nationally

Definitely last night was tons of fun. I’ll admit lots of us “including myself” get frustrated and get down on things at times but what Wade has done going down the stretch is extremely impressive. Coach Cal evens sees that now

Sure looks like it as of this morning. It only took Alleva three tries to get it right.
