Gonna do a shameless plug for a mod I enjoy a great deal that may be of interest to some here. I don't recall it ever being brought up on this board, so here we go.
Moviebattles II (MB2 for sanity's sake) is a mod for Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy. An old arse game and by extension, an old arse mod. In spite of its age, it still has a community that's alive to this day.
To put it simply, it is a team based shooter where you can play as just about anyone from the Star Wars universe. From generic soldiers to Wooks to Clones to Mandalorians to Jedi/Sith and so on so forth. It does a much, much better job of handling heroic characters from Star Wars in that they are more like actual people with good skills. Rather than being unstoppable juggernauts, they have access to powerful weapons/talents etc., but it's up to the player to play well, and a simple stormtrooper could outplay you in sheer skill. This applies to the Han Solos of the world as well as the force wielders. While the idea of playing a simple soldier may not sound super appealing, this mod actually made it fun for me. This also applies to a number of other roles. Running around as a stormtrooper and stomping a mud hole in Luke Skywalker's arse because he doesn't understand game mechanics is an incredibly satisfying feeling.
Maps are usually iconic areas from the movies, and the game is still being worked on to this day.
Video review that does a really good job of detailing it imo: Youtube link.
The base game is rather cheap last I checked due to being so old, and the mod is naturally free. Also pretty easy to setup.
If you have any questions, I'll try to answer although I am no dev.
ETA: Some actual detail so people don't have to click the youtube link to understand what I'm talking about.
