Nobody is upset that people enjoy BP. That’s not the controversy at all, and you know it. And no one gives a shite that it’s a movie with black people. What irks people is the slobbering praise heaped upon it solely bc it’s a movie with black movie, and this silly idea that the movie has or should have some deep meaning to black people. It’s a comic book movie and to make it anything more than that is seems insulting. It certainly didn’t warrant field trips from school or an academy nom.
