Anything that can be spun as political like TLJ, Black Panther, the female Ghostbusters, or even apparently Birdbox gets a lot of ire. Like these weren't great movies (Birdbox was ok), but we got some fricks around here that jump at getting offended by identity politics, whether it's actually there or not.

I feel like at the time of release it was more controversial than it is now. I think time has helped everybody settle into the fact that it was pretty awful.
