I just think Torina is very strict about how she wants her pitchers to pitch mechanically. There are specific things she wants. Talent is not the problem at all, she did some exceptional things this fall. And no Kilponen never had very much pitching instruction, she did it all on her own essentially. Kilponen was highly recruited kid who surged late in the recruiting process. LSU, Arizona State, and Washington were her final three schools before committing to LSU before NSD. The fact that Arizona State and Washington threw the entire house at her to try to get her says all that needs to be said about her abilities.



Wickersham has had the advantage of being coached by Torina and getting instruction for literally 5 or 6 years before coming to LSU.
