What kind of cooking pears?
Man I wish I knew, tree was there when we bought the place, but they are really good, some of the neighbors call them pear-apples, we peel them, slice them, boil for 10-15 min in simple syrup and can them, and they are an absolute treat, much better than my buddies from his pear tree. The one tree must of produced 2000 pounds of pears last year, ate and canned all we could, picked and brought home countless buckets for friends, neighbors up there picked all they wanted and still had way too many rot on the ground. I want to propagate that tree as well just to have a back up tree or two in case this one dies , I am going to plant a few cuttings in food plots too
