Why is Meredith getting cut? Is he struggling with the playbook, or is his knee worse than expected?

There won't be a problem if he proves that his knee is 100%. Paycut is a possibility depending on the health of his knee as well.
Worst case scenario is that his injury is so bad that we are forced to cut him.
Hopefully it works out for the best. I, literally, have no clue what to expect.
