I really would love for someone to make compact pickups again, diesel or not. Something the size of the old S10 or 90s Ranger.
The “mid size” pickups of today would be full size even just 20 years ago. It sucks there’s no option for a compact pickup other than to buy used, which are getting older and rarer, but that’s what I’ll continue doing until they start making them again.
Bring back the late 90’s Dakotas. You still see some on the road today. In fact my brother in law still uses a 98 V8 Dakota as his daily driver. Just hit 278k miles on it! It’s a midsized truck that can still do all the “truck stuff” typical owners need.
