Lester Earl and I both thought that Waters needed some time on the bench, which he clearly did. I didn't think Coach Wade grounded him enough, but I was very impressed when he sat him early in the 1st half last game. That will go a long way.

I compare LSU to the old Allen Iverson 76ers team before they had to trade to Dikembe Motumbo. Iverson would freelance on defense a lot like Waters. But they would sit Iverson for about 5 minutes between the 3rd and 4th quarters. Then they had 6'4" and 6'5" guards with tough forwards (6'7" and 6'8") with a 6'11" shot blocker or backup at center. In that time they would destroy the other team by locking down on defense. I saw a bit of that in the 2nd half with LSU the other night.
