Clay Travis is like Bill Simmons in that he used to be a pretty funny fan in the stands type writer but the more successful he got the more his head swelled until even when he is dead on with a take he is so arrogant to the point he is completely insufferable.

I think he started to turn full on in love with himself somewhere around when he correctly predicted the SEC would expand with A&M and Mizzou. Somewhere around that time period is when he started big timing internet critics with how fabulous his life is and how much money he makes.

Now just like Simmons he thinks he is the voice of the people but is so far removed from being an average fan that he's just another blowhard farting out hot takes that occasionally stick to the wall.
