Attention needs to be brought to the reply procedure that when a defender is going in to correctly tackle an offensive player & said offensive player's body is altered in any way by his own action or the action of another player causing him to then take a helmet to helmet hit should result in the flag being waived off.

I absolutely despise seeing a player getting flagged & even worse ejected for a clean intended hit where in the last millisecond the ball carrier slips or ducks or bends from another tackle/hit.

The rule as it is written is absurd. Just one example is a guy gets flagged in the closing minutes of the first half. Sits out the rest of the game. If that same play happens on the opening drive in the 3rd quarter he’s basically having a full game suspension vs just a half. I know the counter argument is that a player could be flagged early in a game and that’s also pretty much a full game suspension but this one area just shows how silly it is. Make it a 15 yarder and let suspensions be handed out after games. Take it out of the refs hands.
