Since we need spots, it wouldn’t surprise me to see Sheffler move on.

I really liked his film. He's an aggressive blocker that plays with a mean streak and he's an adequate, not great receiver because he's not very athletic. He's only 6'3 so not very tall by TE standards. Probably similar to Morreau but smaller. More of an H-back type.

LSU is thin at TE.

Pettigrew (Best true TE on team but coming off knee surgery)
Moss (Also coming off of injury)
TK McClendon (Has athletic ability and size to be an all round TE)
McMath (WR masquerading as a TE at this point)
Scheffer (Smallish TE that may not remain on the team from what I've read)
D. Scott (I expect him to return to defense if he hasn't already)
C. Turner (will get look at TE to start)

So LSU really has 4 true TE's in my opinion. 2 are coming off major surgeries and 2 are first year players.

LSU really needs Ray Parker in this class. Start him off at TE as freshman and let him move into LT role eventually.
