But honestly any of the 60s and 70s WWII movies. People will probably get rustled because they're attached to some of them (for good reason, on some) but that doesn't mean they can't be updated to reinforce the significance of these events with modern filmmaking.
I loved the original True Grit and enjoyed the updated one, etc.

A war movie can totally be redone and even enhanced.
Modern visual effects can give a more immersive experience of war than was possible back in those days. The D Day airdrop in Overlord is a good recent example of tech improvements and how they can enhance war sequences.
Just don't go cartoony CGI crazy or screw up the story and acting and you can have a good, respectful updated version that can enhance the battle scenes.
