Because it means that he would've had to catch at least one very large bluefin every time he went fishing.
The fisherman you see on Wicked Tuna are commercial fisherman and they specifically target those large bluefin almost everyday that they are allowed to fish. Even they don't catch every time they venture out.
Yet OP claims that he has had such success over 3 decades even while recreationally fishing different areas with what I will just assume are different crews.
It seems rather unbelievable!
