more like just winning

this is a pretty self-defeating argument given

1- we care about being in the black.
2- given current league economics, any dummy can keep an NBA team in the black.
3- this dummy has it figured out. ergo, let's leave this on auto-pilot

they've kept him around this long for a reason

it would be a bother and take actual work to hire a replacement. when is there time for that (and can we really deal with the distraction?) when there's a football team and horse races to worry about?

We still aren’t that far removed from attendance clauses and the constant threat of the team leaving. A focus on winning would be nice but the team being financially secure, even if it’s because of the league, is progress.

I’m not giving them a pass, I would like to see them clean house, but last time a star left the threat of the team not being far behind was real.
