I expect the opening scene to be something along the lines of the Night King destroying a northern castle, maybe the Mormonts. The entire north in the grips of complete panic.
The next scene will be a shot of Cersi sipping a glass of wine, an aide is informing her of the night king laying waste to the North and she says... "Good".

The Mormonts are likely safe for the time being. Unless the night king decides to fly up there just to be an ahole.
