I do think the rest of college football has gotten pretty bad too. It just seems like the quality of play, overall, has diminished outside of these two teams plus a few others. I mean look at the God awful QB play in these bowl games.
I think there's an argument that college football peaked about a decade ago and has been regressing some since.

They need to cap the number of players on teams to 70 to spread the talent to other colleges.
