Bamas front 7 just whipped us and their dbs played a hell of a game too. We just didn't execute well enough. We have to get better at the line of scrimmage or we won't beat teams like alabama has this year. Most of our passing woes on offense were bc of our inability to run the ball period on their front 7 and saban knew it and had us from that point on. Man for man they were just better than us up front. So, saban made their numbers make sure we couldn't double team them and when we did, their lbs roamed free and unblocked all game bc their dline just swallowed our blocks and didn't allow them to get to the 2nd level.

That's all fine and well, but there are ways to scheme around this. E's scheme is such that it plays to Bama's strengths. Which is fine if and when we can at least compete against those strengths, but we are woefully lacking in that arena right now.
