Do you have kids hank? A boy or girl?

I have both. 4 and 1.

Kids are rude and self centered. If I didn’t harp on the 4 year old (boy) to say thank you when he gets a gift, or hug his Grammie when she does something nice, or display gratitude in some other way, he wouldn’t do it, and wouldn’t learn that it was important at all.

Edit: Does this teach him he needs to give a hand job to his buddy when he lends him his truck?

We don’t order him to hug anyone on the street, we tell him to hug family that we know it is appropriate to do so. We will do the same to our girl when she is old enough. He is 4, he doesn’t know when it is appropriate. We as his parents, do.

Two girls, 9 & 10.

We never made them hug people, but do require them to extend their handshake to anyone they do not want to hug.

We have admittedly been very fortunate about them embracing good manners. People gush about our girls’ manners. Parents of other kids at school tell us how impressed they are and that they want their kids to hang with our girls.

STD will appear in a moment to call me a liar.
