Yeah man the world truly took a loss when this guy died.

I’ve often selfishly wished he woulda just made it another 5 or 10 years just to see what other legendary movies and bits we woulda had.

Grownups woulda been off the charts with Farley

Honestly I was genuinely and extremely happy to see the level of applause Farley got in that bit. As was mentioned he passed away 25 years ago and to get that kind of ovation really speaks to the man. I know the crowd wasn't a bunch of 12 year olds but still.

Sadly, this is kind of what drove him into his depression and substance abuse.

Farley felt like Hollywood wouldn't cast him in anything other than "fat guy falling down" comedy routine, and he was apparently right.

He'd wanted several roles that he would have been spectacular in, but didn't get. He somewhat dreaded the Beverly Hills Ninja gig because it only perpetuated the stigma, but he needed the work.
