Someone did this to my wife recently. I asked our insurance about disputing the injury because it was asinine and the agent said that in any accident, if the person not at fault claims an injury they will get something 98% of the time. They said as long as they aren't asking crazy amounts, it's not worth fighting so they just let it go.

People that do this are scum.
