I thought the OP was pretty funny although also agree with the response that it's just a couple of friends talking some nonsense like we all do. The only difference is that a lot of people look up to guys like Curry.
About a month ago, I was having a similar conversation with a friend. Something like 'Maybe we are in a simulation, what are the odds that we happen to be born in this era, so close to when technology will be able to produce a virtual world that feels exactly like ours does? Have you ever met a 'true' celebrity or known them personally? Me either. Maybe they are all part of the simulation to give us things to think about, music to shape our souls, politics to make us think, sports to follow in a way that can either bring us together or divide us.'
It's not that we fully believe the above but just throwing stuff to the wall for contemplation.
