Absolutely LOVED Lies of Locke Lamora
Warning, this is another series that will likely never get finished.
That said, Lies of Locke Lamora world exceptionally well as a stand alone story.
Book 2 less so and book 3 ends with a big cliff hanger of sorts. Which is frustrating knowing that GRRM will probably finish ASOIAF before Lynch gets the next Gentleman Bastard book done.

Dangit I thought it was just a trilogy. That is extremely disappointing to hear.
