Had some guys at the gun range a few weeks ago that had a suppressed .22. It was pretty quiet. You could hear the bullet hitting the target like a pellet gun. That also plays into the slowness of the bullet.
My question is, does suppressing a rifle really help with hogs? In my experience, they run after one shot even if it's suppressed. My only chance at a second shot is if a few young ones come back in afterward.
