Solid top 5 pick and Dallas used like a 5 or 6 on him
Or a 2, same thing though right. He also said he’d make the same decision to play again so there’s that. And guess what, he’s going to be s pro bowler and sign a huge contract in a year. I think he’ll be plenty rich and fine and be able to feed his family.

Why is it so important to some of y’all? The dude isn’t playing and I can promise you his teammates understand.

But will have about $16 million less in his bank account.
Jaylon Smith was headed to be a possible top-5 draft pick when in his final college game, he was pushed from behind and awkwardly twisted and bent his knee.
The injury was brutal: his ACL and LCL were torn, and he had nerve damage. He ended up being drafted in the second round by the Cowboys — but likely, even with an insurance policy, lost a large amount of money and was placed on injured reserved by the Cowboys this week. Should he have gone in the top five, as projected by some draft experts, his contract would be in the $20 million range. Instead, he got $4.42 million guaranteed.

Some players dont make it to the fat contract is the point of getting as much as you can the first. Everyone should give it a rest. I thinks it's a smart decision but I also think he should have to pay back prorated scholarship money for missing bowl game without injury lol idk
