I know the general quote you're referring to, I think the other posters are confused because your article doesn't have that quote in it so there's nothing specifically from your OP/article to support your thread title.
He isn't insinuating that the 49ers don't think Foster hit her.
She's saying the 49ers tried to intervene when she called the cops.
They're saying, "Girl, no the hell we did not."
Basically saying she lied about that.

That being said, his quote in the OP does very clearly imply that the 49ers said she was lying, so I'm not sure why quite a few posters replied stating that was not the case.
