Mike Mccarthy got fired late on an NFL Sunday and less than an hour later, all sports talk radio was still talking about was the college football playoff decisions.

You can't buy that kind of publicity and relevance. It's exactly why the NBA secretly loves all the tmz type drama in their league - - it's keeps your sport in the forefront of conversations.

Hancock is a stooge, but he's right. A playoff where essentially veryone gets in does not cause any buzz. This system does. That's what they want. It's all about money, bottom line. The cfb playoff is a business.

In the end it doesn't matter, we'll still all watch and they get loads of cash and no one can do anything about it. What, is Ohio state and Georgia gonna break off from the ncaa and their leagues over this stuff? Of course not.

Why lose sleep over any of this stuff? They have screwed all of the bowls up now, but they still don't care, as long as that dr pepper cash keeps growing, they couldn't care any less.
