It was so well written and Tony Shaloub was great. Recently went back and watched..Jury Duty..The Actor..The Kid..Astronaut..Garbage Strike amongst others. Such a good show.

That show is such a classic for the series. Monk lies about "Here's what happened" over and over again" to end the strike and wants to burn the city to the ground...to rebuild...because there's no recovering from all that garbage on the streets.
And he tries to mail his garbage to someone to get rid of it.
