Played for coach Pete. Now with the Steelers. Would have had to be an upgrade.

And considering our recent spate of DL misses (Buggs, Ed Oliver, Faylen Ferguson) and NSD defections (Marvin Wilson), we could use some DL help.

Just wondering when Karl decided to leave Bama how hard we pursued him?

The Pete protege that i'm hoping becomes a coach one day is greg gilmore. he soaked up every bit of knowledge he could from pete and worked his arse off to have a great senior year. Just from his quotes in interviews with him his senior year it sounded like coaching was in his future.

Not saying i want to hire him tomorrow or anything but if he got the right experience i think he'd be a good one.

We don't need Karl Dunbar, we've got Coach Meatball for crying out loud!!!

Ensminger makes the roux while Meatball makes the stock. I've heard that Meatball's trick is that he starts the stock with beef broth.

Dundee is a world class dline coach and recruiter. I’d love to have him back.

ETA: a world class human being too!

Karmichael is Karl Dunbar's son

Edit: Did not realize that was Karl's real name, but his son goes by Karmichael and just left Bama for Tennessee

And since DL coach was an open position I'm just asking did we even try to get him last year when Pete finally hung it up? Does he have just such a preference for the pro game?
