I would speculate this activity increases leading up to the holidays. Be aware that many of these people aren't playing around. While they would likely prefer no confrontation, many are armed is case there is one. And many are dumbass kids with no respect for life or the gravity or consequences of their decisions. Which is sad, nobody wants to hurt a kid but everybody wants to go home.
