College athletes gets stipends for every semester they are on scholarship. Enough to afford the note on a car in that price range. Not saying Bama doesn’t provide benefits or even pay for these cars, but the players have enough money to at least give the university plausible deniability.

It's this right here. Go into any athlete parking and you'll see a bevy of nice cars. They just go with a Charger because it's nice and not as expensive as others

Exactly. Akeem has a 500 Series Mercedes his sophomore year at university of Houston. Chris Jackson had two autos while at LSU.

The general student population can also get a loan for an auto if they can show similar income potential.

Or a dealership just finances it for a relative. I am willing to bet the players names aren’t on the titles of most of the cars. It’s not that hard to get financing on those cars. Now wether they ever actually pay the note is another issue.

No they don't unless they get drafted and keep it, the lease technically isn't ever tied to the players to my knowledge.
One of the crazier purchases I have seen though is Jackson's BMW I8 he had while in college.
He still has it to I am pretty sure
