Making a casserole and was wondering if I could put it all together and cook in the morning. My fear is that it’ll dry out overnight.

That’s what I’m doing. Prep it today, final cook tomorrow. Threw some Tasso in it this time. It will be good.

Is this a southern thing? I’d never heard of it until this board

My grandma is from mamou so I don’t know why she wouldn’t cook it since it’s a favorite of so many

Hope it turns out well for you. Stuffed mirlitons were a staple in my home growing up - my mom loved them!

I love mirlitons and shrimp, but I’m not sure they aren’t better with Italian sausage and Italian breadcrumbs. Doing some tomorrow.
