Are these oysters that you can get by the half sack somewhere or are they primarily sold to restaurants? I've never had them and now I want some.

Bon Secour Fisheries sells them by the 100 or 50 count box. Not sure if they carry Murder Point. P & J in Nola is also a whole seller for farm raised oysters. Murder Point has gotten into the wholesale business down in Bayou La Batre. The Zirlotts got into the oyster farming business after the oil spill slowed their shrimping business. They are more pricy than Gulf Oysters. If you bath your oysters in cocktail and hot sauce and throw them on a cracker, these oysters are not worth the price your going to pay.
