What do you know? You might need a small group, but there are a lot of other conditions and considerations. My view is that without a major financial, political, or military meltdown, no fringe group will have the necessary capital to succeed, despite how much they might hope for it.

It depends on how far the left and right are from one another. I don't think the left and right are all that far from one another in this country. There are segments that are, but overall, politics takes place within a very small window, almost all of which is within the center-right.
