If Miles was still there LSU would not be 8 and 2. At best 7 and 3. Miles did not want his QB's to run the ball when no receivers were open. Burrow did just this to keep drives going against Miami and his legs extended drives against other teams as well. One of my dislikes that Orgeron has done is getting rid of Canada. He was on the right track by hiring a young innovative and competent OC who could scheme plays to get players in position to succeed. Even against Sabama. Getting rid of Canada and promoting SE was a degressive decision that reared it's ugly head against Sabama. This was Miles problem the last few years of his tenure when he hired Studrawa and then Cameron.

Last few years?
Studs was part of the 2007 SEC Champ/NC staff, plus OC for the 2011 team that won another SEC Champ and played in another NC.
Studs and Cameron have been OC for 2 of the Top 5 scoring offenses in LSU history.
