Well everyone had the night off last night so there's nothing to recap on that front. Below is the schedule for for the weekend. We have our 2nd in state match up of the year tonight Baton Rouge.

Friday, November 16th
#22 LSU vs Louisiana Tech – 7pm (SECN+)
ULL @ #2 Kansas – 7pm (ESPN+)
Nicholls @ Baylor – 11am (FSSW)
McNeese vs Loyola (NO) – 6:30pm
Grambling @ Loyola-Chicago – 7pm (ESPN+)

Saturday, November 17th
Northwestern State @ Rice – 2pm (ESPN3)
Southeastern vs Stetson – 4pm
Southern @ George Mason – 3pm (ESPN+)

Sunday, November 18th

It was a rough weekend overall for state schools as teams in action went 2-7. Recap of the weekend games below.

*Friday Games*

LSU was able edge Louisiana Tech 74-67. LSU had four players reach double figure scoring lead by their guards Ja'vonte Smart who scored 16 and Tremont Waters who scored 14 in the win. Anthony Duruji led the way for the Bulldogs with 22 points. Louisiana Tech also got a 15 point effort from Exavian Christon and a 10 point effort from Amorie Archibald in the loss. LSU improves to 4-0 while Louisiana Tech drops to 3-1 this season.

ULL fell 76-89 at Kansas in game that was very close until the final minutes. The Cajuns had four players in double figures led by Justin Miller and JaKeenan Gant who scored 22 and 18 respectively. The Cajuns fall to 1-2 on the year.

Nicholls had a rough one losing at Baylor 54-81. Jeremiah Jefferson was the only Colonel to reach double digits as he scored 13 points in the loss. Nicholls is now 2-3 this season.

McNeese was upset by Loyola (NO) 78-79. The Cowboys had a very balanced attack with 5 players in double digits including 19 from Kevin Hunt and 18 from James Harvey but it wasn't enough. McNeese remains winless at 0-3 this season.

Grambling lost at Loyola-Chicago 64-80. Dallas Polk-Hillard led the team with 13 points. Ivy Smith, Jr. and Devante Jackson each had 10 for the Tigers in the loss. Grambling drops to 1-2 this year.

*Saturday Games*

Northwestern State struggled at Rice losing 74-102. DeAndre Love was the only Demon to reach double figures as he scored 16 in the loss. Northwestern State is now 1-3 this season.

Southeastern defeated Stetson 69-57. The Lions got big nights from Moses Greenwood (26 points & 10 rebounds) and Marlain Veal (24 points & 10 rebounds). Southeastern moves to 2-3 this year.

Southern dropped a close one at George Mason falling 65-69. Eddie Reese scored 21 points and Richard Lee chipped in with 11 points for the Jags but it wasn't enough. Southern is still searching for their first win this year as they are now 0-4.
